College Football Week 9 Picks Against the Spread Games

Rate this post

Week 9 of the college football season features a pair of top-25 matchups, with No. 8 Oregon visiting No. 13 Utah and No. 20 Duke traveling to No. 18 Louisville. There are also several other intriguing matchups, including Oklahoma at Kansas, BYU at Texas, and South Carolina at Texas A&M.

Here are my picks against the spread for the biggest Week 9 games:

Oklahoma at Kansas (-9.5)

The Sooners are coming off a bye week and should be well-rested and ready to roll against the Jayhawks. Kansas has been playing well this season, but Oklahoma is still the better team. I like the Sooners to cover the spread.

BYU at Texas (-19.5)

The Longhorns are coming off a big win over Oklahoma and should be able to take care of business against BYU. The Cougars are a good team, but they don’t have the firepower to keep up with Texas. I like the Longhorns to cover the spread.

South Carolina at Texas A&M (-14)

The Aggies are coming off a tough loss to Alabama, but they should be able to bounce back against the Gamecocks. South Carolina is a struggling team, and I don’t see them keeping up with Texas A&M’s high-powered offense. I like the Aggies to cover the spread.

Duke at Louisville (-4.5)

This is a tough game to pick, but I’m going to take the Cardinals at home. Louisville has a better offense than Duke, and I think they’ll be able to make enough plays to win. I like the Cardinals to cover the spread.

Colorado at UCLA (-15.5)

The Bruins are coming off a big win over Utah and should be able to roll against the Buffaloes. Colorado is a struggling team, and I don’t see them keeping up with UCLA’s high-powered offense. I like the Bruins to cover the spread.

Tennessee at Kentucky (-3.5)

This is another tough game to pick, but I’m going to take the Wildcats at home. Kentucky has a better defense than Tennessee, and I think they’ll be able to make enough stops to win. I like the Wildcats to cover the spread.

Georgia vs. Florida (-14.5)

The Bulldogs are the better team in this rivalry, but I think the Gators will keep it close. Florida has a good defense, and I think they’ll be able to slow down Georgia’s offense. I like the Gators to cover the spread.

Ohio State at Wisconsin (-14.5)

The Buckeyes are the better team in this matchup, but I think the Badgers will keep it close. Wisconsin has a good defense, and I think they’ll be able to make enough stops to keep the game within two touchdowns. I like the Badgers to cover the spread.

Oregon at Utah (-6.5)

This is the toughest game to pick on the Week 9 schedule. Both teams are very good, and I think it will be a close game. I’m going to give the slight edge to the Utes at home, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see either team win. I like the Utes to cover the spread.

Overall Picks:

  • Oklahoma (-9.5) over Kansas
  • Texas (-19.5) over BYU
  • Texas A&M (-14) over South Carolina
  • Louisville (-4.5) over Duke
  • UCLA (-15.5) over Colorado
  • Kentucky (-3.5) over Tennessee
  • Florida (+14.5) over Georgia
